If you are responsible for a building, it’s important to do all you can to reduce the risk of fire to keep people safe. It saves lives, it’s your legal duty, and it makes good business sense.

The responsibility of undertaking a Fire Risk Assessment can be daunting for many with it being such a huge responsibility to ensure people’s safety. Emergi-Safe will take this pressure off you and conduct your assessment meticulously and professionally, giving you peace of mind that your premises is safe.

Why you need a Fire Risk Assessment

A fire risk assessment is a legal requirement. If you are responsible for a building albeit an employer, owner or occupier, you need to make sure a competent person completes a Fire Risk Assessment. It is your duty to identify fire risk and hazards in your premises and take appropriate actions.

If you have 5 or more people working at your premises or your business has a licence under enactment in force, you must have a written record of your fire risk assessment. You will also be required to review your risk assessment regularly and whenever significant changes have been made on your premises that may impact on it.

Effective Fire prevention starts with a good fire risk assessment and understanding the risks. It is therefore crucial that you conduct a proper fire risk assessment by our qualified assessors at Emergi-safe.

By carrying out a fire risk assessment and acting upon that, you are making sure you meet your legal obligations for fire safety.

Once we have conducted your Fire Risk Assessment a written document shall be created detailing our findings of the assessment.

We recommend you review your fire risk assessments every 12 months; we would be happy to support you and provide a continued review service.
